Busy in the Workshop

This summer I have decided to be an occasional vendor at the Metcalfe Farmers Market.  It is a fabulous environment and I have met so many wonderful people but it means I need to constantly keep my inventory well stocked.  It has also allowed me to try out some new mediums and play a little.
This interesting piece came out of a process I am developing using polymer clays and acrylic paints to achieve a weather leather or ceramic look. It is light weight and highlighted buy a copper chain.
These earring were using the same process and are lightweight versatile.

Another unique technique called water casting.  Molten silver is poured into water and the sudden cooling causes organic drop shapes to form.  I use these to make earrings, pendants and adjustable rings like these little beauties.

See you at the market in  a few weeks!
