Even though it doesn't seem much like Fall these days it is only 7 weeks until Christmas!  That is less than 50 days!!!!

I will be holding my annual Holiday Shopping Open House for 3 days over 3 weeks to help you find that perfect something for your mother, sister, best friend, teacher or any special lady in your life. I can even make custom orders given enough leeway.....in other words don't ask me Christmas Eve ;)  You will even be supporting a great cause.  A portion of the proceeds will go to the Canadian Cancer Society.  Over the years I have raised thousands for charity, Dragon Boat Charities, Canadian Cancer Society , Leukaemia and Lymphoma Society and ALS Foundation to name a few, and I would like that to continue.

Dia de los Muertos

Dia de los Muertos is a holiday for remembering and honouring those who have passed. It is a festive, joyous time of celebration.

When I saw these cute little skull beads and the bright flowers and crystals they reminded me of the "sugar skulls" that are given as gifts to the dead and the living on Dia de los Muertos. These sugar skulls have become a symbol of this celebration. This piece is a representation of this celebration.

Spring into Spring

 After the popularity of my It Makes A Difference collection in support of ALS research JayBee Jewelry is bring them back!  25% of the Starfish Collection sales goes to The ALS Society of Canada.

A beach was covered with starfish that had washed ashore, and a little boy was bent over picking up one after another and throwing them back into the water. 
His mother rushed over and said, 'What are you doing?"  
The little boy replied, "If they don't get back into the ocean they will dry in the sun and die" 
"You can’t possibly throw all these starfish back in. It won’t make a difference." 
To which the little boy says, 'Well, it made a difference to this one.’

This is a lovely adaptation of a tale written by Loren Eisley called The Starfish Thrower.
